Chouk Bwa & The Ångstromers – Vodou Alé
Vodou alé is a full-length collaboration between Haitian six-piece Chouk Bwa and Belgian production duo, The Ångströmers. The album is where traditional African/Caribbean music meets modern clubbing electronic and bass music. Prepare to embark into a trippy and transcending experience with this incredible piece of work that feels futurist ritualistic. Like being witness of a traditional ritual but in the year 2050. The album was released earlier this year on the excellent Swiss record label Bongo Joe. Give it a go, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Roos Jonker & Dean Tippet – Roos Jonker & Dean Tippet
Here’s a super sweet album that was released by dutch singer-songwriters Roos Jonker & Dean Tippet from Amsterdam. The music will gently rock your soul and make you feel relaxed and happy. Bringing a bit of Summer sunlight into the coming Winter. Their songs are influenced by a few different types of music, Brazilian Bossa Nova, Tropical Folk and modern jazz come to mind while listening. The melodies are always filled with bittersweet emotions and the overall feeling of the album is just perfect. This incredible album is brought to us by Berliner label Sonar Kollektiv. There’s a very small and rare edition of pink vinyls that were only pressed 100 times and it happens so that there are still 6 available at the time I’m writing this so if you discover through this post you might be so lucky and secure one of the last copies!
